I bought a sewing machine this weekend....and I am so excited about it. The funny thing is, I have no clue why! I know nothing about sewing, am seriously lacking any sort of crafty/creative abilities, and I have limited patience.
But for some crazy reason I've been dying to learn how to sew!
We'll see if I'm this eager after my first attempt at a project...
Now the real question is...what am I going to sew??

Hey I got one for Christmas from my in-laws! If I have any luck with a project I'll send it your way and you better do the same!
How fun! Your hair is cute, short and blonde! Hope you had a great Christmas and New Year.
I just got a sewing machine too! It was an essential part of accomplishing my goal of learning to quilt. My first quilting project (rather simple though it was) turned out splendidly. We're going to take some pictures and post them on our blog soon.
My sister-in-law got a book called "Weekend Sewing" for christmas that she was all excited about. It has a variety of small sewing projects like skirts and dresses, bags, kids clothes, pillow covers, etc. I glanced through it and think I might pick up a copy. If you're looking for projects, it's not a bad place to start.
You look so cute and so proud. Now I'm waiting for the after picture!
And let's definitely figure out when we get to see you next. Over Christmas Jordan said, "We need to see Kunz and Heather soon. It has sure been too long." We feel the same way. Hope you had a great Christmas and let's plan something soon.
Anything you want - try a quilt, straight lines can be your friend as you get the hang of it.
Love your hair!
When is the early match date?
You look so cute!!! So, I say go for it!!! Pillowcases are usually easy. And of course I echo Melissa...straight lines :) Match Day is tomorrow, right???? We are dying for you to know! Can't wait.
I got a sewing machine for my 16th birthday (wow, it's already 10 years old, time flies!), and it has been an awesome toy! I'm not much of a seamstress, but I just love having a sewing machine for scrapbooking and crafty stuff and fixing rips, etc. I want to get better at sewing, but yeah, it requires patience and I, like you, am lacking in that department. But one of my best friends made my wedding dress, and she learned to sew in high school... she's awesome! Whenever she sees a cute skirt or whatever, she just goes and makes it in her own way! I really want that talent. So anyway, congrats on the new machine and I hope you'll get all awesome and crafty!
I'm proud!
