The wait is finally OVER!!

We found out today that BEN MATCHED!! He will begin his Ophthalmology residency in BUFFALO, NEW YORK, starting July 2011. We couldn't be happier!

We feel so grateful and so blessed that Ben was able to match in such a competitive field. It is such a relief knowing he will actually be able to do what he loves.

It may not be much of an improvement in weather....but we'll only be an hour and a half from my parents, in Toronto! Definitely something to look forward to!

We find out in March where we will be going next year for intern year...but at this point, that's the least of our concerns! HOORAY FOR MATCH DAY!

Yeah!!!! Congrats to Ben!

We should meet half-way in Rochester for the Hill Cumorah Pageant with Miquelle or something. It could be great fun!

OK guys...awesome!!! I am a bit jealous. But...is it possible to still pull for Tucson for first year? Or are we totally out of the running>

Congrats! I'm so excited for you. Wow, ophthalmology is definitely not easy to get into. Way to go Ben! We'll be missing you in Tucson, but I'm so glad you'll be near family.

CONGRATULATIONS! Match Day...seriously, I don't get why they can't come up with something a little less stressful, for both the students and their spouses. But, yay for only being 1.5 hours from your parents! That's really terrific!

WOOHOO!

HEY! WAY TO GO!!!! What a smarty pants! We just had some friends move to Rochester and they love it. So that means nothing to you probably.

I'm so happy you'll be close to your family! I bet they're excited! Can you still snowboard up there?

I was just thinking about you guys. Congrats and probably a big sigh of relief knowing where you will be for the next little while....does upstate NY or Vermont get more snow?

I am sooo happy for you guys!!! I've been anxious to hear. That is so great! We've been watching the match go on for 4th years here so we know how intense it is! I'm so glad it worked, and way to go Ben getting into such a competitive field. Wow, think back to when we (haha, our husbands!) were both trying to just get into med school--and look how it's all worked out.
